There are certain skills that a successful business should use to add value and customer retention to their business. I learned from the in-class video over De-Mar (the heating and cooling company) that you must have clear and believeable values and also be able to make a customer, not just a sale. I know that the customer is always right and you should do your best to make them happy. Another important aspect for a profitable business is to makes leaders, not just employees. You must also reinvent yourself in order to stay on top of things. It's also a good idea to create a simple system that everyone will understand and be able to cooperate with. If you have a incredibly complex system integrated, it will be harder for the employees to adapt it. Another good idea is to encourage 'heroics' in each employee. If they do things that are extraordinary all the time, then you should never have a problem accomplishing all your tasks. Create a winning team that is unique and different. If I had a business, I would want it to stand out from our competitors and if our employees each had their own uniqueness, this would be an easily attainable task. And last but not least, make sure that your team has soul. If they feel that they belong to something special, then they will want to continue working towards your goals and accomplish great things with you!
